Crown Books for Young Readers is committed to centering historically marginalized voices and amplifying and celebrating their stories. We publish for all ages, ensuring that readers from babies through teenagers, and their families, can see themselves in the pages of our books.
We are proud to publish books by seasoned creators like Jason Reynolds, Nic Stone, Frank Morrison, Ellen Oh, Carole Boston Weatherford, Glenda Armand, and Vanessa Brantley-Newton alongside newer talent like Mahogany L. Browne, and Jamie Jo Hoang, and Patricia Park. Our titles have received starred reviews and the Coretta Scott King Award and have appeared on the New York Times bestseller list and many state reading lists. We also partner with organizations that share our passion for elevating underrepresented communities, including We Need Diverse Books, Just Us Books, Race2Dinner, and the Smithsonian Institution.
