Elizabeth Stranahan

Elizabeth Stranahan is an editor at Random House Books for Young Readers where she acquires primarily middle grade and YA novels. She seeks stories that straddle the commercial-literary line with a high-concept hook and a deep emotional core. Quick-witted dialogue makes her swoon, but above all she wants stories that give young readers ideas that will stay with them. At Random House Children’s Books, Elizabeth has worked with award-winning and bestselling authors like Alexa Donne, Elle McNicoll, Kate Messner, and Goldy Moldavsky among others. She can often be found catching up on the latest gymnastics competition, quilting, or rewatching Fleabag—occasionally at the same time.
