Gianna Lakenauth

Gianna Lakenauth has been at PRH since 2017. Her list is focused on YA and MG novels with select picture books. In novels, she is looking for stories that straddle both commercial and literary (commercial hook with gorgeous sentences). Above all, Gianna loves stories with big sweeping emotions (bring on the emotional damage!). Genres she is currently acquiring are: fantasy, romantasy, dystopian, horror/gothic, speculative, contemporary, and genre-bending. In MG, she would like to see friendships, humor, and epic adventures. Some tropes that she gravitates to are generational lore/debt/curse, atmospheric settings, unhinged characters, female rage, morally gray characters and yearning. When not editing, she can be found reading (for fun!), watching TV, and spending time with her cat and partner.
