Heidi Kilgras oversees classic brands such as Richard Scarry and Little Golden Books. She edits young graphic chapter book series, Step into Reading leveled readers, and commercial brands such as the Diggers books. In addition to her love of the written word, the illustration and design process lights her up, and submissions by author-illustrators are especially welcome. Quirky humor always gets her attention as do relatable stories that also illuminate diverse cultural experiences.
