Judith Haut
Judith Haut
Executive Vice President and Deputy Publisher, Random House Children's Books
Books and reading have always been at the center of Judith Haut’s life. Her older siblings taught her to read before she could walk and she’s had her nose in a book ever since. Her first job after college was in book publishing, and throughout her 30+ year career, she has seen the power and magic of learning to read firsthand. Judith has held many positions at Random House, beginning in publicity, then marketing and digital strategy before taking on her current role as the division’s Deputy Publisher. Judith oversees—and has meaningfully grown—our Dr. Seuss Publishing as well as our nonfiction publishing efforts under Bright Matter Books, and has most recently taken on leadership of National Geographic Kids and Waterbrook Children’s. Judith has been responsible for launching many major initiatives at Random House Children’s, including our first dedicated graphic novel imprint. Judith works closely with some of Random House’s longtime, bestselling, and award-winning creators including R.J. Palacio, Dave Eggers, Christopher Paolini and Markus Zusak and is also responsible for strategic management of our Joy Revolution imprint and our Brand Management team.
