Kelly Delaney

Kelly Delaney edits books for young readers of all ages, with a focus on elevating underrepresented voices and communities. She’s drawn to fiction and nonfiction alike—especially projects with a strong commercial hook or a distinct sense of atmosphere and place. If a book makes her laugh, she’ll always keep reading. Kelly has been at Random House Children’s Books since 2011 and loves running, cross stitching, board games, and beta-testing picture books with her two sons. She’s always excited to connect with writers, both seasoned and new, who have a strong perspective and don’t underestimate their readers.
