Kelsey Horton edits novels with high-concept premises and smart storytelling for young adult and middle grade readers. She gravitates toward upmarket fiction including romances, mysteries, and thrillers, magical stories with a unique competition, smart retellings, or stories with a fresh speculative twist. No matter the genre, she is always on the lookout for a manuscript with a strong voice that hooks you from the beginning with a surprise ending that begs to be talked about. Kelsey has worked in editorial at both HarperCollins and Random House Children’s Books since she graduated from the Columbia publishing course in 2013. She spends time in both New York where she is from and LA where she insists the books are better than the films.
