Phoebe Yeh

Phoebe Yeh is vice president and editor at large at Crown Books for Young Readers, where she has worked with Nic Stone, Mahogany L. Browne, and Lincoln Peirce. Phoebe has edited the New York Times bestseller Young World by Soman Chainani and Steven and Parker: Dinos Are Forever! by Youtuber Parker James for the Random House BFYR imprint. A children’s book editor for forty years, she was an editor of The Magic School Bus series and worked with Walter Dean Myers for twenty years. Phoebe acquires middle grade and young adult novels (illustrated, graphic, or prose) and the occasional picture book. She’s drawn to inventive, voice-driven stories that center underrepresented voices, experiment with format, and balance humor, heart, and thoughtfulness. She’s especially excited by books that make readers feel seen and inspire empathy, and that become the ones kids return to again and again.
