Sara Sargent

Sara E. Sargent is Editorial Director of Rodale Kids, where she publishes titles focused on wellness, identity, spirituality, parenting trends, and emotional intelligence, both fiction and nonfiction. Her list is primarily picture books and board books, but she does acquire select middle grade and YA titles. No matter the category, Sara’s focus is on celebrity, platform-driven social-media, or pop-culture tie-ins—projects that are “of the moment” or zeitgeist-y in some way. Sara is passionate about books that: center underrepresented voices, are funny, tackle mental-health issues, and meet kids where they are. She does not acquire graphic novels or chapter books.
